Under the leadership of acclaimed chef and restaurateur Joey Baldino (Palizzi Social Club/Zeppoli) , Bomb Bomb Bar is being reimagined blending its South Philly roots with a touch of refined hospitality. Expect cold beer, neighborhood camaraderie, and great food.
Were building a small, sharp team of professionals who can thrive in a high-paced, multi-role environment while honoring the legacy of the bar and the neighborhood it serves.
Position Overview:
Were seeking a Lead Server who can balance professionalism and personality someone who understands how to deliver great service without feeling out of place in a dive bar. Youll play a key role in shaping the guest experience, leading by example, and setting the tone for a team thats attentive, respectful, and willing to work hard as a team.
Were looking for individuals who are comfortable pitching in on all aspects of service and who are willing to be part of a small but cohesive staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide warm, efficient, and knowledgeable service to guests in a fast-paced bar environment
Lead and support the front-of-house staff during shifts, ensuring consistency in service and guest satisfaction
Uphold high standards of hospitality while embracing the South Philly character of the bar
Manage floor flow, handle guest issues with professionalism, and communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar team
Assist with training new servers to align with Bomb Bombs evolving service style
Ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the dining/bar area at all times
Help curate the feel of the new Bomb Bomb- this is a reopening that will certainly bring old regulars and create new ones
Who You Are:
A seasoned server (3+ years experience) with leadership or floor captain experience preferred
Someone who is willing to complete tasks not always directly related to their role or station
Comfortable working in a dynamic, sometimes chaotic environment with the ability to handle
Professional but never pretentious you treat the regular ordering a High Life with the same respect as someone sipping Amaro
Strong knowledge of food, wine, beer, and spirits or the curiosity and commitment to learn
Familiar with South Philly culture and proud to represent it
Able to work nights, weekends, and game days
