Maximes mission is to provide exceptional and discreet service for our members through unparalleled hospitality. Our aim is to make members feel as though they are in a private home, enjoying outstanding food and wine surrounded by stunning decor.
POSITION SUMMARY
Zodiac Servers are responsible for leading service in our elegant cocktail bar and lounge dining room spaces. Servers ensure the entire team meets very high standards and demonstrates exceptional product knowledge.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains complete knowledge of Maximes policies and procedures and ensures that all practices and policies are being upheld .
- Maintains thorough knowledge of all food and beverage items in our Zodiac Lounge to assist members with any dietary concerns or issues, including any dietary preferences and/or food allergies .
- Ensures service is provided in a timely , professional, and effective manner .
- Processes food and beverage orders as needed, ensuring accuracy when entering orders into POS .
- Adheres to all Department of Health and safety standards related to food handling, hygiene, and alcohol service .
- Supports all front-of-house team members in providing exceptional hospitality .
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS)
- 1+ year minimum experience in fine dining or similar caliber concept.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in a variety of technology systems and POS platforms.
- Current NYC Food Protection Certificate.
- Willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment.
- TIPS certification required.
- Ability to work a variable schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, per the needs of the business.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to be flexible with job demands and open-minded when being asked to complete tasks.
- Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the restaurant.
- Ability to operate with grace under pressure.
- Ability to move or handle equipment throughout the restaurant generally weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
- Ability to stand for up to 8-10 hours a day.

Compensation DetailsCompensation: Hourly ($16.50) plus tips
