1st Shift Janitor

1st Shift Janitor 6:45am to 2:45pm
Monday through Friday. Mandatory OT on Saturdays and Some DT offered.

The Janitor will ensure all aspects of the facility are maintained and remain clean, sanitized and ensure a safe and healthy environment. The Janitor must adhere to all health and safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

Job Duties:

• Clean and sanitize all bathrooms, breakrooms, appliances including coffees pods, microwaves, and refrigerators/ coolers.
• Clean and sanitize all cupboard handles, doorknobs, doorways tables, chairs and all other communicable touch points throughout the facility.
• Maintain Recycling as necessary.
• Sweep and mop daily and operate floor scrubber/cleaner as necessary.
• Pick up trash in the yard and along fences as well as empty trash on the production floor, office areas and outside.
• Empty ashtrays.
• Maintain picnic tables and picnic area.
• Assist utility and maintenance when needed.
• Assist health and safety team with training of proper sanitizing practices.

• Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Janitorial experience or commercial cleaning and sanitizing practice experience preferred.
• Knowledge of preventing communicable diseases preferred.
• Experience in operation of industrial equipment preferred.
• Must be able and qualified to operate a respirator.
• Must ensure that OSHA and internal safe operating principles are in place and adhered to.
