Position: Evening Custodian
Location: Athens Campus
Department: Facilities
Reports to: Associate Vice President for Facilities & Information Technology
Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. State of Georgia benefits package.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Deadline to Apply: July 7, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that assigned buildings are cleaned and maintained properly.
- Service and clean all restrooms, and empty trash, twice daily.
- Sweep, mop and/or vacuum all floors in every hallway and foyer, and other common areas like vending machines areas, daily.
- Sweep and mop all inside staircases daily.
- Sweep and clean all outside staircases/entry ways daily.
- Empty all trash inside and outside, and in every hallway and foyer, and other common areas like vending machines areas, daily.
- Place wet floor signs out after mopping any floors.
- Service all paper towel dispensers and hand sanitizers in all labs and classrooms, as requested.
- Maintain all entryways, cleaning all windows inside and out, all interior and exterior entry way. mats, removing of wasps' nests, spider webs, and any other debris.
- Maintain adequate consumables, paper products, trashcan liners, cleaning supplies in all assigned buildings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in higher education custodial services.
