Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Chef, responsible for production and distribution of foods for hospital patients, cafeteria and special functions as assigned.

Status: Temporary Full Time
Shift: Variable
Hours: 6:00am-2:00pm/11:30am-7:30pm. Every other weekend.
Duration of Assignment: Anticipated from now until October 2025
Job Essentials: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies.

Demonstrates commitment to organizational values and service excellence , ensuring respect, courtesy, privacy, and confidentiality in all interactions.

Prepares and cooks food for patients, cafeteria, and catering using standardized recipes, proper techniques, and safety protocols to meet quality and scheduling standards.

Maintains a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment , following all food safety, storage, and sanitation procedures.

Collaborates effectively with team members and assists in menu planning, recipe modification, catered events, and resolving food-related concerns.

Communicates professionally with staff and customers , actively contributes to daily operations, and performs additional duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or GED or a minimum of 3 years full-time experience in a related field
- One year significant experience/institution cooking or equivalent.
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations.
- Must be able to perform basic arithmetic problems.
- Good verbal/written communication skills.
- Must be able to communicate with all dietary personnel, hospital employees and maintenance.

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
