Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Chef, responsible for production and distribution of foods for hospital patients, cafeteria and special functions as assigned.

Location: Englewood, NJ
Status: Temporary Full Time
Shift: Variable
Hours: 6:00am-2:00pm/11:30am-7:30pm. Every other weekend.
Duration of Assignment: Anticipated from now until October 2025

Job Essentials: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies.

• Demonstrates commitment to organizational values and service excellence , ensuring respect, courtesy, privacy, and confidentiality in all interactions.

• Prepares and cooks food for patients, cafeteria, and catering using standardized recipes, proper techniques, and safety protocols to meet quality and scheduling standards.

• Maintains a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment , following all food safety, storage, and sanitation procedures.

• Collaborates effectively with team members and assists in menu planning, recipe modification, catered events, and resolving food-related concerns.

• Communicates professionally with staff and customers , actively contributes to daily operations, and performs additional duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED or a minimum of 3 years full-time experience in a related field
• One year significant experience/institution cooking or equivalent.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations.
• Must be able to perform basic arithmetic problems.
• Good verbal/written communication skills.
• Must be able to communicate with all dietary personnel, hospital employees and maintenance.

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
