Resident Services Receptionist
Job Location: NEW HARTFORD, NY
Salary Range: $16.00 - $18.00 Hourly
Description
After hours and on weekends, position is responsible for both the safety and well-being of 170 residents, as well as monitoring of all building systems and property.
Check SARA alert system daily and be able to respond to SARA alerts quickly
Respond quickly to fire alarms
Respond to emergencies in necessary manner may include calling ambulance, 911, and family members.
Direct ambulance, EMTs or other first responders to proper locations
Answering and transferring phones and taking detailed messages
Help residents with a variety of non-medical needs
Keep track of internal mail and messages in resident folders at front desk
Take down and submit work orders from residents
Notify residents when packages or pharmacy prescriptions are delivered
Sort and deliver staff mail
Deal with visitors in a friendly manner when answering questions or giving directions
Assist in bringing packages to residents rooms.
Be Pleasant and Cheerful to everyone. Always give warm greetings and welcome anyone who comes through the front door must always be in marketing mode!
Assist staff with projects when asked and as needed
Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
High School Degree Required
Experience with Older Adult population, preferred
