Description:
The Bartender is integral to the guest experience and provides beverage services (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to the guests of the property. The Bartender will service beverages at the facility and provide a high quality service-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Bartender:
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Maintains a supply of all bar products/supplies, including all glassware, expendable paper and other supplies
- Maintains the sanitation and cleanliness of the bar area(s), glassware and equipment.
- Assures that all laws applicable to beverage operations are consistently followed.
- Collects payment for drinks served.
- Greets and provides immediate attention to guests.
- Learn the names of regulars and personally recognize them.
- Monitor guest experience and take appropriate action to assure the best customer service.
- Inspects the bar prior to opening to ensure adequate supplies and inventory are available.
- Prepares garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drinks.
- Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned.
- Adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies including confirming legal drinking age and discontinuing service to intoxicated guests.
- Implement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- 1-2 years of bartending experience.
- Must be of legal age to serve liquor according to state law.
- Working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes.
- Must have strong customer/guest orientation.
- Organized, able to work well in fast paced environment.
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be dependable.
Minimum Qualifications for the Bartender:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of bartending experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older to meet state age requirements to serve alcohol.
Other Qualifications:
- Possesses knowledge of cocktail recipes and wine varieties.
- Alcohol Awareness Training.
