PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager, a restaurant server takes orders, answers questions about the menu and food, sells the restaurant's food and drinks, takes payment, communicates orders with the kitchen staff, seats customers, and helps with customer service and cleaning.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

EDUCATION: High school diploma or its equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Experience in food & beverage services, Luxury experience is a plus.

CREDENTIALS: Washington State food handlers permit, MAST 12 beverage service permit.

• Strong knowledge of food and beverage menus, including wine, beer, and classic cocktails

• Exceptional customer service and hospitality skills

• Ability to guide guests through menu selections and make expert recommendations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail

• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

• Experience using POS systems for order entry and payment processing

• Ability to handle cash and other forms of payment accurately

• Team player mentality and willingness to support colleagues

• Professional appearance and demeanor, with a passion for food and beverage service

• Familiarity with fine dining etiquette and guest relations

• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
