Overview

Willow Valley is hiring a Laundry Associate to perform the day-to-day functions and duties involved in effectively operating and supporting a centralized laundry facility.

Wage:

  • From $15.50/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and Sorting - Receives items to be cleaned; weighs and tracks soiled items; organizes and sorts soiled items according to type, color, cleaning technique, dirt content, etc. ; inspects items; utilizes portable machines and/or neutralizer solutions to tend to stained articles through pre-soaking, spot-cleaning, sterilizing, scrubbing; removes stains and prepares for washing.
  • Washing - Understands and operates all commercial washing machine equipment to ensure proper washing of product; utilizes approved detergents and associated dispensing equipment; washes all products according to required temperatures and specific cycles.
  • Drying - Understands and operates all commercial dryers to ensure proper drying of product as required; dries all products according to required temperatures and specific cycles.
  • Feeding, Ironing and Folding - Understands and operates all automatic laundry finishing equipment which includes feeders, ironers, and folders based on product specifications. Duties include folding product by hand.
  • Organizing and Shipping - Organizes clean products onto carts/bins according to customer needs; properly identifies and labels products; stages clean product to ready for transport; assists with the timely loading of clean product onto truck(s) for transport to customer locations.
  • Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) - Autonomous Maintenance: Monitors the condition of equipment and work areas; performs routine maintenance on equipment i.e. routine lubrication, cleaning/changing of machine filters, etc.; reports more extensive equipment repairs to Team Leader.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent safety/safe work practice skills
  • Valid PA Drivers License and access to a car preferred

Hours:

  • 40 hrs/week

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday, 5:00am-1:30pm
