JOB SUMMARY

Creates a high-quality guest service atmosphere, graciously greeting and catering to the needs of Plateau room guests, assisting staff as needed to ensure guest satisfaction and generating repeat business.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensures customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and friendly service, placing the customer's service experience first.
  • Greets guests and escorts them to their tables, rotating seating evenly between stations.
  • Initiates services for guests, identifies servers, provides specific set-up including helping to move tables and chairs, and initiates beverage and menu service.
  • Accepts reservations over the phone promptly and efficiently, accurately recording guests' names and confirming dates and times in a gracious, friendly manner.
  • Accepts and maintains an organized waiting list, accurately recording guest names and promptly announcing when the table is ready.
  • Assists servers and supervisor as needed, including providing beverages, taking or delivering orders, and bussing tables.
  • Maintains host/hostess area in a clean, neat, and organized manner, including wiping counters, clearing floor area, keeping menus organized and presentable, replenishing inventory needs as appropriate, and overall organized appearance.
  • Must complete daily assigned side work.
  • Remains knowledgeable of menu and/or specials, and WRC activities and amenities to provide accurate guest information.
  • Takes an active role in providing guest service and assists whenever needed to ensure a smooth flow of service.
  • Handles guest inquiries or service concerns promptly and professionally, deferring disputes/conflicts to the supervisor.
  • Promotes internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior with co-workers.
  • Complies with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
  • Promotes a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests. Promptly removes hazards and reports concerns to supervisor.
  • Ensures that the operation of equipment, tools, and materials is handled safely.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One (1) year experience in a position that requires exceptional customer service skills.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certification and an OLCC card within 30 days of employment.
  • Physically fit-able to stand and/or walk for long periods in the smoky environment; able to perform repetitive motion of arms, wrists, hand, and fingers; and able to bend, lift, and maneuver items up to 50lbs.
  • Effective communication skills-good auditory and visual acuity, and ability to understand and respond verbally in English.
  • Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
  • Requires a High-Security Gaming License.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
