The ***Banquet Server (Part-time)*** is responsible for providing excellent food and beverage service during events such as weddings, conferences, and private functions. This includes setting up for events, serving guests, maintaining cleanliness, and breaking down the event space after service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up banquet rooms according to event layouts (tables, linens, place settings, glassware, etc.)
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Serve plated meals and/or buffet offerings efficiently and according to standards
- Monitor guest needs and respond promptly to requests
- Clear plates, glassware, and utensils in a timely and organized fashion
- Assist in post-event breakdown and clean-up of event space
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the event
- Communicate effectively with team members, kitchen staff, and supervisors
- Follow all company safety and alcohol service guidelines
- Uphold high levels of customer service and hospitality
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior food service or banquet experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Working Conditions:
- Physical demands include walking, standing, lifting, bending
- May work indoors and outdoors depending on event location
- Variable hours based on event schedule
