Hanley Foundation, a West Palm Beach-based non-profit organization that aims to eliminate addiction through prevention, treatment, advocacy, and recovery support, seeks a Dishwasher/Server to join our growing team at our state-of-the-art substance use/mental health treatment facility in sunny West Palm Beach, Florida.

Primary functions include cleaning and sanitation of all dining utensils, kitchen equipment and dining areas. Storage of food and supply deliveries. Cleanliness and restocking of all units .

Duties & Responsibilities:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Assumes responsibility of keeping Kitchen and dining room stocked with clean and sanitary dishes, pots, pans and utensils.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area including but not limited to dish machine, walls, floors, sinks and shelves.
  • Correctly stores, handles and rotates food items.
  • The immediate storage of all deliveries into the correct location using first in, first out principle. Trimming and dating of boxes.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen floors throughout the day.
  • The disposal of empty boxes and garbage to the compactor, keeping the loading dock clean at all times.
  • Keep all areas of kitchen and storage clean and organized ready for inspection.
  • Record daily sanitation levels. And make supervisor aware of incorrect levels.
  • Report all repair needs to supervisor.
  • Handle foods in a manner that is consistent with Safe staff and local authority guidelines.

Experience/Education/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years working experience in a similar position.
  • If in recovery, one (1) year continuous sobriety is required.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must produce and maintain a valid drivers license in accordance with Driving Standards Policy.
  • Hold a valid Safe staff handler certificate.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to stay focused and productive in a demanding environment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to problem solve, be organized and self-motivated.
  • Offer polite friendly customer service.
  • Must be able to use basic tools pertaining to position.
  • Must be flexible with schedule to provide emergency and overtime service at times during unscheduled work hours.
