Janitorial Maintenance Worker

Location: New Rochelle, NY Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm (35hrs/wk) Rate: $16.50/hr + benefits OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES : This position is responsible for the cleaning of a multi-purpose office building. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS :

• Floor Care (Knowledge of buffer machines and Floor Scrubbers helpful).
• Responsible for keeping the restrooms cleaned, sanitized, and stocked
• Trash and recyclables
• Carpet Cleaning (Use of carpet extractor)
• Clean all windows
• Light Painting/repairs
• Vacuuming/dusting
• Keep walkways free of snow, ice and debris
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Communicate effectively, openly and honestly, with staff and leaders on a consistent basis

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONAL / ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT: This position will assist with any office moves or special cleaning projects as directed by supervisor QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES :

• Great attention to details
• Multi-tasker
• Able to quickly asses and react to situation requiring a custodial remedy.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

• Previous experience in the janitorial field preferably in an office/industrial setting
• Reliable transportation with a valid drivers license
