Job Summary
Our busy multi-season rustic lodge and lake resort, featuring rental cabins, a campground, and marina is seeking a hard working Line Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience preparing American Cuisine, enjoys working in a busy restaurant environment, and is capable of multi-tasking effectively. We are willing to consider advancement opportunities for the right candidate and work ethic.
Must be willing to work in a more remote lake area approximately 30 minutes from Bend, OR.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in creating amazing culinary experiences including input to our menu
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and Prep Cooks to prepare quality meals during our dining hours.
- Measure and assemble ingredients for all menu items.
- Maintain accurate food inventories.
- Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures.
- Rotate stock items as per established procedures.
- Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts.
- Ensure that all food and cook areas are cleaned and sanitized throughout and at the end of your shift.
- Bring a positive attitude and willingness to have fun!
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required.
- 2+ years experience as a Line Cook in the restaurant industry.
- Able to read and follow standardized recipes.
- Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
- Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere
- Certification preferred.
