The Greeter Customer Service Specialist – Patient Registration plays a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient at Union Health.
The Patient Registration team plays an integral role by managing the hospital’s database, updating patient’s information, confirming insurance details, taking calls, responding to patients’ inquiries and concerns, and assuring that services are provided within professional standards and organizational policies to assist patients who lean on the Patient Registration team for answers.

Greeter Customer Service Specialist-Patient Registration Details
Essential Job Duties:
- Greet every individual with a warm and welcome smile, providing a friendly and compassionate environment. Using, "Welcome to Union Hospital" as the greeting. BE THE FACE OF THE HOSPITAL.
- Assess and identify the patient's needs, and provide appropriate guidance and/or assistance with transporting patients to the point of service.
- Provides and assists with wheelchairs for those with limited mobility.
- Ability to recognize an unstable patient and react appropriately.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Wear name badge in a visible spot - either clipped to a lapel or on a lanyard.
- Participates with co-workers in necessary "hands off" communication of our patients and families.
- Demonstrates ability to manage multiple priorities, makes independent judgements, and asks for assistance in unusual situations.
- Is sensitive to the socio-economic, cultural, and special needs of patients.
- Ability to learn the physical layout of the Hospital and assist visitors and patients with directions.
- Refrain from any activity that would appear as negative and not engaged. Example: casual conversation with co-workers, eating/drinking in area, use of cell phone/texting.
- Dress conservatively and professionally as per Union Hospital Dress code policy.
Education, Training & Experience
a High School diploma or equivalent
a 2 years of customer service experience
