Primary Function

Oversee the operations of the GHSR Food & Beverage (F&B) Department, which includes: the Grill, Snack Bar and Red Brick Eats, as a safe, healthy, customer oriented and profitable operation that is a desirable place for our employees to work. Promotion into this position from Food and Beverage Attendant II, or being hired at the Attendant III level initially, typically (although not always) requires the completion of a minimum of 2,000 service hours to the Resort in F&B, or other equivalent documented Food and Beverage experience from outside the Resort, to include significant time in managing personnel.

Reporting and Accountability

  • The Food and Beverage Attendant III position reports to, and is accountable to the Glenwood Hot Springs Food and Beverage Manager, and also takes direction from the Assistant F&B Manager and F&B Supervisors.

Authority

  • The Food and Beverage Attendant III position has the support and authority necessary to carry out the responsibilities and tasks described in this job description and other responsibilities of the Food and Beverage service department, as delegated by the Manager.

Physical Requirements

  • Adequate physical agility to perform the physical tasks required to operate all areas of the F&B Department.
  • Ability to stand for up to eight hours and bend twist stoop kneel and crawl.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and read and give instructions clearly

Educational Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Other Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in a comparable food service management, including ability to perform all Food & Beverage tasks proficiently
  • Ability to train and lead a team of young, inexperienced workers
  • Bottom line, guest satisfaction, and “get it done” attitude
  • Broad knowledge of all F&B Department responsibilities and tasks, utensils and equipment

Work Hours and Days

The Food and Beverage Attendant III work hours and days are variable and must be adaptable to seasonal and other variations in business as well as availability of staff. Shifts will include weekends and holidays.
