Position Title: Bar Buena Doorman

Bar Buena, Goode Company’s newest concept, is a hidden agave sanctuary adjacent to Kitchen and Cantina River Oaks that offers an intimate retreat for exceptional cocktails and authentic Mexican spirits. Rooted in the artistry of tequila and mezcal-making, we take pride in our 100% additive-free agave spirit program, serving as true ambassadors of Mexico’s rich traditions.

Position:

The Bar Buena Doorman is the first point of contact for our guests, playing a vital role in setting the tone for a welcoming experience. This position requires hospitality, discretion and security to ensure an enjoyable environment for all guests.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests as they arrive at the bar entrance
• Monitor guest flow and manage entry to maintain ambiance and capacity standards
• Check identification to ensure compliance with age restrictions for alcohol service
• Maintain a visible presence to deter disruptive behavior and ensure guest safety
• Collaborate with bartenders and management to accommodate VIPs and reservations
• Handle guest inquiries and provide directions or assistance as needed
• De-escalate conflicts with discretion and professionalism, involving management or security when necessary
• Maintain cleanliness and order at the entrance and surrounding areas

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to work Thursdays-Saturdays (7pm-12am)
• Prior experience in hospitality, security, or guest services
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Calm under pressure with a professional demeanor
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work evening/weekend shifts
• Knowledge of local laws and regulations regarding alcohol service and occupancy
