Custodian - 1st Shift

PAY-$17.00 PER HOUR
Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM - ONE HOUR LUNCH

POSITION OVERVEW & PURPOSE:

The Custodian's responsibilities are to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout our manufacturing facility. The Custodian will ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment for all employees by performing routine cleaning tasks and responding to facility needs promptly. This is a warehouse operations position under the supervision of the Shift Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors in production areas, offices, restrooms, and break rooms.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and replenishing supplies.
Empty trash and recycling bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
Clean windows, walls, and other surfaces as needed.
Maintain cleanliness in high-traffic and high-touch areas.
Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when inventory is low.
Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or needed repairs to the supervisor.
Assist with minor facility maintenance tasks as assigned.
Support special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks during shutdowns or scheduled maintenance periods.
Always maintain an organized work environment, may require inspection by the Leadership Team.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Leadership Team to support company goals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Handle cleaning materials such as bleach, sanitizer, etc.
Must be able to push and/or pull carts up to 75 pounds.
Must use and be able to work with required PPE.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to perform repetitive tasks such as twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
The noise level of the warehouse is moderate to loud.
Based on proficiency could work under heavy to limited supervision.
Uphold all safety standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
Must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Previous janitorial experience preferred.
Must be able to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions.
Must be able to work independently as well as in a group environment.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Must demonstrate basic problem-solving skills.
Good organizational skills related to managing paperwork/checklists and time.

One year of Manufacture Custodian experience required.
