Perform general maintenance and repairs, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, for all phases of general building maintenance for a live music and entertainment venue. Partner with department and venue leadership to ensure proper maintenance and repair of the physical facility. Reports to Manager of Maintenance & Engineering.
- Maintain building equipment (electrical, plumbing, and HVAC), ensuring proper functioning of all related equipment. This includes boilers, chillers, closed-loop systems, supply and return fans, pumps and cooling towers.
- Perform general maintenance and light repairs on the interior/exterior building and associated outdoor grounds. This includes electrical systems (fan units, repair switches, plugs and light fixtures; change lights at extreme heights, etc.), plumbing systems (flush valves, faucets, drains, etc.), and appliance repair and installation (coffee makers, popcorn machines, warmers, etc.).
- Perform preventative maintenance, including painting, coil cleaning, changing filters, lubrication, visual inspections of HVAC systems, and more. Inspect and maintain vehicles, elevators and lifts.
- Install and troubleshoot electrical systems and install power for special events.
- Make structural repairs and maintain general building operations (door hardware, pews, woodwork, etc.).
- Monitor and log equipment maintenance performed to prevent equipment failures and downtime.
- Work with department leadership to maintain inventory of general consumable parts and supplies (light bulbs, filters, paint, etc.) to minimize interruptions in operations.
- Assist in controlling alarms, security key-card access, HVAC and lighting systems through computer programs.
- Support venue operations by assisting with general tasks and fulfilling ad-hoc requests to maintain expected levels of service--may include hauling trash, sweeping and mopping floors, moving tables and providing set-up for special events and receiving deliveries, etc.
- Support the safety and security function to protect the venue's assets and the personal safety of the employees and guests. Ensure safety and building codes and practices are followed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school graduate or equivalent required, some trade school preferred
- 3+ years experience in related field; e.g. electrical, plumbing, or HVAC
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated team player, self-starter
- Electrical, plumbing, or HVAC certifications preferred but not required. Must complete requirements needed to receive relevant certifications within one year of employment
- Forklift certification required upon hire
- Must complete OSHA 30-Hour Training
- Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record required
