Greeters are responsible for welcoming and creating the first impression for guests. These individuals have the ability to influence the overall restaurant experience by their interactions that include providing table accommodations and offering menu recommendations. Greeters may be the final point of contact and have the ability to ensure guest satisfaction.
What You'll Do:
- Greet every guest at the door and maintain a smile all the time.
- Project a warm and friendly attitude.
- Be knowledgeable about your restaurant menu, including ingredients and preparation techniques.
- Be well versed in all hotel information, including other restaurants, and offered amenities.
- Understand the local area and be able to discuss local history, facts, and places with guests.
- Customize the guest experience by appreciating unique guest needs.
- Ensure tables are properly set and the surrounding area is clean.
- Be resourceful and go above and beyond when fulfilling a guest's special requests.
- Communicate to managers and supervisors of any guest concerns or issues.
- The last guest enjoys the same clean and presentable experience as the first.
- Adhere to all hotel and departmental standards and polices, including attendance, cash handling and side work responsibilities.
