Sedgebrook is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Dining Room Server to join our culinary team! This role provides full-scope, hands on serving functions within the community. Answer pertinent questions about menu items. Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order. Always exemplify Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization. Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards always. Exhibit dining room appearance and presentation standards always. Serve customers using proper serving etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere. Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have: High school diploma or GED required. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively, including interpreting and explaining the menu, answer or refer questions, coordinate meal service process, and understand and fulfill requests. Ability to walk and/or stand for 100% of work day; able to bend, stoop, reach, and balance throughout day. Ability to carry up to 20 lbs and push or pull carts weighing up to 50 lbs. Experience waiting tables in a restaurant, club, fine dining, or hotel preferred. Experience in working with seniors a plus.
