Nanny/Housekeeper

Private Great Barrington, MA, growing family is looking to hire a Nanny/Housekeeper to basically do everything Mom does in the home. The calm, yet assertive candidate will work daily with mom as a team, including but not limited to watching and playfully engaging with the children (2 and 4 year old, and a newborn coming end of January), and maintaining a smooth operational household. The expectations are to do everything that mom does; an extra set of hands to help with activities with the kids, cooking them lunch, putting them down for a nap, driving to/from activities, etc. When the kids are napping, the proactive candidate will help mom with laundry, cleaning the kitchen, organizing the kids' toys, etc. The kids attend a school nearby from 8:30 am-noon and are grounded in nature and natural rhythms, so someone who has an understanding of children's need for outdoor connection is a MUST. What Works Best for Family: Someone very calm, not super chatty. Someone who actively engages with the kids and can teach them new activities, with NO screen time. Adventurous, but safe. Loving and warm, however, not looking for a best friend, or a candidate who overly shares information about their own life, no drama. Someone who recognizes personal and professional boundaries. MUST be already an established LOCAL resident, to allow for a reasonable daily commute to/from their home.
