Food Service Worker / Tray Line Runner Dean's Professional Services Bryan, Texas, United States 5 days ago Quick Job type Full-time Quick Job description Dean's Professional Services is now hiring a qualified Food Service Worker / Tray Line Runner to work for a Hospital Facility in Bryan, TX. The Food Service Worker / Tray Line Runner are responsible for assisting in the Diet Office, answer phones with a positive attitude, and help deliver meals and other items as needed. Training will be provided on using the computer systems in the Diet Office. Job Duties : Enter and update patient meal information in the Diet Office system (training provided). Answer phone calls and assist patients, families, and staff with dietary questions. Deliver meals, snacks, and items to different areas of the hospital. Help prepare and serve meals to patients, making sure the food matches their diet needs and preferences. Help prepare special diets as directed by the doctor and dietitian. Keep track of patient food preferences, allergies, and restrictions, and share this info with the kitchen and medical team. Make sure food and supplies are handled and stored safely. Work with the medical team to meet patients' nutrition needs. Help clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas. Follow safe food handling practices. Do other tasks as assigned by the Nutrition Manager or Dietitian. Job Requirements : High school diploma or equivalent - Required Food Handlers Certifications - Required 2+ years of previous therapeutic diets and food preparation in a hospital or clinical setting - Required Knowledge of basic nutrition principles, dietary restrictions, and therapeutic diets. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle the physical demands of a 12-hour shift, including standing for long periods and lifting moderate loads. Job Details : Schedule / Shift : 12-hour shifts, which may include day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays. Starting at $15 / Hr. (based on experience) + benefits.
