Performs a variety of duties related to customer service, inventory management, and cleaning. The Bartender/clerk is expected to have a firm grasp of bartending and will display a positive attitude and promote teamwork. To perform this position well, the employee must report to work timely and on a regular basis. This position does not offer a remote or hybrid option. TYPICAL TASKS: Take and serve beverage orders to patrons. Handle retail sales of off-sale, beer, wine and liquor Always greet customers with a smile and whenever possible, by name. Be attentive to customers. Keep the bar and stools neat and clean. Watch for empty glasses and politely ask if they would like another. Always ask before removing an empty glass. Collect money for drinks served. Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol. Ensure excellent standards of cleanliness in the bar area and through the Liquor Store Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking or ordering other transportation for intoxicated patrons. Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws throughout the shift. Control and limit the wasting of inventory and supplies. Follow all prescribed health and safety regulations. Communicate problems and ideas to the management. Attend all scheduled staff meetings. Follow management s instructions and suggestions. Perform all closing duties and ensure all bar supplies are properly stocked and balance cash receipts/cash drawer. Adhere to all state and local laws alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis laws and policies of the Liquor Store. Perform any other related duties as assigned.
