This position will be for a technical expert in all areas related to the assigned operations in the position description. This position exists to provide for a smooth and efficient operation and the repair of all LP, natural gas, air conditioning, HVAC and refrigeration for all facilities equipment mechanical related systems and equipment throughout Camp Ripley.
**Minimum Qualifications**
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with HVAC systems and refrigeration equipment.
- Must obtain a Boiler Special Engineer License within 6 months of hire
- Possess current Universal EPA 608 license.
-Must have and maintain a valid drivers license.
- Computer skills sufficient to learn new programs in a proficient manner.
-Possess a A2L Refrigerant certificate or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a military Common Access Card
-Ability to self-motivate, work independently and maintain a positive work attitude
-Ability to communicate well with co-workers in both written and verbal communications
- Ability to safely operate assigned equipment to include but not limited to scissor lifts, fork trucks, articulating boom lifts, etc.
- Ability to safely use assigned power and hand tools
-Ability to perform physically demanding work such as digging by hand, working at heights and within confined spaces through all weather conditions.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Two-year Technical College HVAC program
- Possess a Power-Limited Technician license.
- Broad plant maintenance experience involving repair of heating and ventilating equipment as a major focus.
- Coursework in steam engineering maintenance or repair (e.g., welding, plumbing, electricity, steam engineering, boiler operation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and steam fitting).
**Physical Requirements**
Ability to perform repetitive motions with various types of equipment and tools on a regular basis. This job may require walking or standing to a significant degree on rough terrain or may involve sitting most of the time with pushing, lifting, carrying and pulling of arm and/or leg controls. Ability to climb and work off ladders. Ability to work in confined spaces and at high heights. Ability to lift articles up to 80 pounds.
