The workers will respond to all guest requests appropriately. The worker is responsible for servicing an assigned number of guest rooms. The duties also include thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including, but not limited to, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and dusting. Deep clean, as needed, according to Omni standards. The worker must restock and replace used items within guest rooms, such as linens, towels, and guest amenities. The worker will be responsible for communicating the clean status of each room upon completion and removing room service trays and tables from guest rooms. The worker must stock the supply cart and ensure that it is neat and well-organized at all times. The worker will respond to all guests efficiently and in an appropriately friendly manner. The worker will check all equipment prior to and after its use to ensure that it is in good working order. The worker must report any articles left by a guest to a supervisor or the Housekeeping Office Coordinator

Special Requirements:
Three (3) months of related experience in a hotel setting. The worker must have strong visual attention to detail and strong customer service skills. The worker must have the ability to stand, bend, and do repetitive movements for up to 8 hours at a time. The worker must also have the ability to bend, stretch, reach, push and lift up to 20-25 pounds intermittently and occasionally 50 pounds. Ability to push and pull the housekeeping supply cart up to 75 lbs. Ability and willingness to work a varied schedule, which includes working on weekends and holidays.
The pay is $15.00 per hour with overtime available at $22.50 per hour, based on the hourly rate. **The work schedule is as follows:** 35 hours per week, Saturday to Friday, with varying 7-8-hour shifts between 8:30 am and 11:00 pm. Job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. The requested temporary workers will be based at 621 St. Louis St., New Orleans, LA 70130.
Single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Pay period is bi-weekly.
Employers will deduct all legally required amounts from workers' paychecks. All deductions required by the law will be made. Housing is available at a biweekly payroll deduction range of $330 to $370 with an initial damage deposit of $350 to $400. **The offered housing is optional for workers.** The employer will **not** provide daily transportation to and from the worksite.
Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, inclu ing those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide worker, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job and on the job training in the proper use of tools and equipment. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period only to the extent that this guarantee is enforced by the Department of Labor. As of the date of this posting, the three-fourths guarantee is not enforced, but this is subject to change.
