CUSTODIAN-ATHLETICS-NB Rutgers University

Position Summary:

• Cleans, dusts, strips, scrubs, waxes, and buffs floors, rooms, toilets, offices, and all interiors of buildings.
• Removes waste materials; periodically shampoos carpeting and washes windows.
• Performs general maintenance of grounds and performs snow removal operations as assigned.
• Inspects buildings for custodial and general physical security.
• Checks interior and exterior lighting to insure proper maintenance and repair.
• Issues and delivers supplies and furniture to locations as required.
• Performs set-ups as needed for events and aids in basket, bleacher set-ups.
• Detects faulty operation of equipment and reports questionable conditions to supervisor.
• Performs related duties as required.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• No experience required.
• Valid driver's license and two (2) years of driving experience.

Special Conditions:

• This position is considered an essential employee. This designation means that in the event that the university makes a Level 1, 4 or 5 Adverse Weather or Emergency Curtailment of Operations declaration this position is required, as directed by a supervisor, to report to work and/or remain at work.
• The shift is 6am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday, but this position will be required to work nights and weekends.
• Clean Driving Record.
