The Cheese Cook is an important part of our production floor. The Operator runs and creates cottage cheese in large vats. As a Cheese Cook, you will be responsible for the quality, food safety, and product specifications.
DUTIES:
CUT CHEESE, COOK CHEESE, FILL OUT ASSOCIATED PAPERWORK, CLEAN UP ASSOCIATED AREAS AND EQUIPMENT, RELIEVE SANITATION VATS, WORK WHERE NEEDED WHEN ASKED. DAYS OFF AND SCHEDULE MAY CHANGE DUE TO BUSINESS NEEDS.
PAY RATE: $26.77/HR
DAYS: Monday- Friday, work occasional Saturdays as needed instead of Wednesday
HOURS: 6:00 P.M. to 2 A.M.
Qualifications and Experience:
- One or two years of related experience and/or training preferred.
- Experience analyzing and troubleshooting process data and equipment performance.
- Data to improve quality and throughput.
- Basic math competency required to perform calculations.
- Overtime and working on holidays are often required.
- Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred.
- Minimum age: 18
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
- May be required to lift, carry, lower 1-50lbs from a height of approximately seven feet to the ground and back continually for the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to work in both very hot (more than 100 degrees) and very cold (less than 20 degrees
- below zero) and in a very wet and humid environment for extended periods of time. Exposed to noise/vibration, and chemicals.
- Required to Stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, push and pull, and reach at, above and below the shoulder.
- Repetition-Hand/Wrist Simple Grasping, Firm grasping.
