Description
Position Summary:
The Cage Cashier will perform a variety of financial transactions including but not limited to, cashing checks, performing credit card advances, cashing slot tickets, issuing and paying markers, completing front money transactions, processing coin from Guests, and redeeming chips. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort's "ELITE" company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
- Observe and safeguard assets of the company.
- Keep custody of credit instruments.
- Balance individual bank at end of shift.
- Responsible for funds in the coin vault.
- Prepare and count Food and Beverage banks.
- Verify drop from count team.
- Prepare fills and credits.
- Process credit card advances.
- Keep custody of certain keys.
- Issue and redeem purchase tickets.
- Handle chip purchasing, chip cashing, and check cashing.
- Issue credit and receive IOU payments.
- Call for Guest information.
- Prepare jackpots.
- Maintain knowledge of Minimum Internal Controls (MICS) and System of Internal Controls (SICS).
- Maintain ability to work with all banks within the cage.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous cash handling experience preferred.
- High school education or equivalent preferred.
- Money handling and math skills.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Ability to learn and understand Title 31 requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Ability to stand for duration of shift.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Requires manual dexterity to use job related equipment.
Work Conditions:
Work is typically conducted in the casino, which may be hot, cold, noisy, and in the presence of secondhand smoke. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area. Frequent contact with fellow Team Members and Guests is standard.
