What You'll Do:
The Lead Server is both a hands-on team member attending and catering to our guests, and also a leader on the floor as a shining example of our expectations of service. Beyond the direct service responsibilities, this position will assist the Spencer's Manager and Assistant Manager in training serving staff, maintaining standards, opening/closing duties, and providing stability and experience in the position. The ideal candidate will come with a passion for food, drink, and great service; be adaptable/flexible while maintaining a positive attitude; be comfortable working under pressure and in a fast-paced environment; and have an eye for detail. Full-time, year-round position with benefits eligibility.
Position starts at $17.00-$19.00/hr + Tips
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent guest service and ensure all needs are met
- Learn menus and be able to upsell food, wine, and cocktails, including daily specials
- Assist management in training service staff
- Maintain service standards for self and rest of service staff
- Assist in the setup of the dining room
- Ensure cleanliness and presentability of the facilities
- Various other tasks as needed
What You'll Bring:
- 2+ years full-service serving experience, preferably fine/fine-casual dining - preferred
- 1+ years lead or supervisory experience in restaurant setting - preferred
- Proficient at written and verbal communication in English - required
- Familiarity with Micros and NCR - preferred
