HOURS:

6:15 AM - 1:00 PM (67.5 hr/day; 33.75 hr/wk)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Head Cook prepares and serves nutritious, eye appealing and well accepted student meals; works cooperatively with others to provide students, staff and the community with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient environment; and maintains effective public relations with parents, staff, students and visitors.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Organized, self-disciplined and capable of performing job duties without constant supervision
• Strong communication (oral & listening) and interpersonal relations skills
• Able to operate and maintain equipment necessary to perform the job in a safe manner
• Proficient cooking skills, food service experience preferred
• General bookkeeping/accounting experience
• Good personal hygiene
