Overview Are you a Lead Cook looking to work for an amazing organization by serving others and connecting with your co-workers? Immanuel Communities is seeking a Full-time Lead Cook to work at Immanuel Courtyard, located at 6757 Newport Avenue, Omaha, NE 68152. Immanuel Courtyard has 70 independent living and 68 assisted living apartment homes. Schedule will be Sunday - Thursday s hifts: sometimes breakfast/lunch (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM), sometimes lunch/dinner (10:30 AM - 7:00 PM), with a 30-minute break. Holidays are required if they fall on your regularly assigned workday. Schedule may vary with prior notice. This is not an entry level position. Two years of experience cooking at a level above fast food/bar food is required to be considered for this position. Supervisory/training/mentoring experience is highly desired. This position will pay up to $21.00/hour. Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education. Job Duties & Skills Required What You Will Do The Lead Cook is to ensure that high-quality food is prepared, apportioned, and presented in an appealing manner to residents. Additional responsibilities of this job include all types of food preparation, including yet not limited to baking, grilling, stove-top and oven cooking; and cleaning the kitchen. The incumbent may be assigned to oversee progress of cooks' abilities, kitchen projects, or certain aspects of food preparation in the kitchen and will work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations and support the overall culinary staff. Skills & Requirements Two (2) years of cooking experience is required, preferably in a healthcare setting. Minimum age of 19 years old required.
