Small cafe serving NW bistro fare in search of a line cook. We want to serve perfection on a plate, so attention to detail, ability to follow recipes and ability to get orders out quickly are a must. We are a small establishment so you will be asked to prep and cook all food, maintain kitchen and manage inventory. We are team-oriented and can help with salads and plating when its busy. You are confident using: gas range, deep fryer, grill, flat top, oven, mixer, mandolin, blender. You can cook burgers to bistro fare and properly poach an egg. Ability to maintain a clean kitchen is a must, and we ask that any free time be spent prepping and cleaning, not on your phone. If you are also interested in procuring food, finding vendors and accepting deliveries, that can be added to your workload and paycheck as well.
Current schedule is Wed-Sat from 2:30pm - 9:00pm, as well as several prep hours on Tuesday. Potential to pick up additional hours as we add days and open for lunch and brunch. Occasional special events like holiday parties.
Non-smoking, drug-free environment.
Alcohol is served.
Wage DOE, with tip sharing, food and beverage discounts.
Preference given to women, minorities and nice people.
