Kismet Rotisserie in CULVER CITY is looking for capable FOH employees who love hospitality and are excited to serve the community. We are hiring an on-call Counter Server, someone who has flexibility and is able to fill in, as needed. It may grow into a fixed schedule, but at the moment, we need help with coverage.

Kismet Rotisserie is a fast-casual restaurant with 4 locations and is part of the Kismet restaurant group, based in Los Angeles. Our menu focuses on rotisserie chicken, crispy potatoes and vegetable sides, as well as sandwiches, salads, and sweets. It is healthy, comforting and ultra-fresh everyday food, fully made from scratch in-house daily. We source as much as possible from local farms and do our best to incorporate sustainability into our practices, while also maintaining affordability for our customers and creating a positive work environment for our employees.

We are a high volume restaurant, doing a significant amount of take out and catering and we take our approach to quality and integrity very seriously.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 1 year of similar restaurant experience required.
• Must be able to multitask and problem solve with a smile.
• Must be quick on your feet and a fast learner, without cutting corners.
• Must be professional and courteous toward fellow employees and customers.
• Must have a positive attitude and demeanor.
• Must be a team player.
• Must be willing to be cross-trained in other roles in order to lend a hand where needed. This may include light prep or light line cook work.
• Experience with Toast POS and UberEats is a plus.
• MUST HAVE FLEXIBLE AVAILABILITY.

JOB OVERVIEW (Included, but not limited to):

• Take orders in person, online and over the phone.
• Accurately input orders.
• Know the entire menu, including possible allergens and substitutions.
• Accurately describe the menu.
• Ability to identify the menu items and run them to tables.
• Check accuracy of orders and pack bags with care.
• Interact with customers and delivery drivers in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Troubleshoot pickups and errors with customers and delivery drivers in courteous and genuinely helpful manner.
• Set up/break down/maintain cleanliness of the space.
• Side work, such as packaging sauces and to go utensils, stocking drinks and disposable goods, etc.

For the sake of creating equity across all positions, all hourly non-management employees at Kismet Rotisserie are tipped and receive an equal share of the tip and bonus pools based on hours worked.

The company also offers health insurance, including vision and dental, for employees working 20 hours or more. The company will pay for 50% of the base HMO health plan for any hourly non-management employee working 20+ hours, and will cover the full amount of a PPO plan for all managers. Additionally, we offer a 401k plan for any employee to opt in to.

All employees have the added benefit of a 50% discount at all of our restaurants.

Job Type: Part Time

Salary: $25-29/Hour, Inclusive of Tips and Bonuses
