Custodian

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. This position offers a 4-9 hour shifts with a half-day on Fridays. Job duties include a variety of custodial and maintenance activities for all City owned buildings and facilities including trash disposal, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning windows, door glass, bathrooms, kitchens and other common areas. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs light custodial work and maintenance services to City owned building and facilities. Establishes and maintains a schedule of routine janitorial and cleaning of facilities to including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting of furniture and wood work and equipment. Collects and disposes of office trash and recycling. Cleans of windows, walls, and ceilings. Assists with moving furniture or equipment for city operations and special events. Provides maintenance and minor repair to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and routine carpentry. Performs repairs and maintenance of buildings drywalls, painting, floor and ceiling tiles and replacement of light bulbs. Cleans and sanitizes restrooms. Maintains cleaning and other supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, etc. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED

One (1) year experience performing facilities and janitorial maintenance.

Possession of a valid Texas driver s license

A combination of education, training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered
