Responsibilities & Duties:
- Complete all necessary opening and closing side-work; not limited to juicing and cutting fruit, preparing syrups, building garnishes and batches, etc.
- Maintain full knowledge of food and beverage menus, and able to guide guests to best order
- Follows proper steps of service with grace, while maintaining a sense of urgency throughout service
- Ensure that every guest receives exceptional overall experience.
- Able to create relevant and creative beverages based on requirements of guests or managers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including the seating area.
- Support team with beverage service to all dining room areas
- Responsible for cleaning, polishing, and maintaining stock of bar glassware and service-ware
- Communicates respectfully and effectively with staff members, management, and the kitchen during service.
- Listen to, and promptly act to resolve, guest issues and requests
Leadership Responsibilities & Duties:
- Organization and maintaining the backbar and liquor storage, including all rails.
- Accountable for keeping the bar properly stocked for service.
- Maintaining proper 86 list, delivered daily to MOD via WhatsApp.
- Maintaining organization of the bar's dry storage.
- Providing a weekly list of all necessary assets to be purchased or sourced by Beverage Manager.
- Accountable for side work being done on time and properly (keeping staff accountable).
- Delivering information to the team regarding the maintenance of bar & standards.
- Keeping Beverage Manager up to date with all maintenance requests.
- Training new bartenders on all house recipes, opening/closing, and general culture of service.
- Developing and implementing accountability programs to ensure all staff are fully trained and retaining information.
- Assist Beverage Manager in one-on-one and group trainings for speed, technique, culture, or product knowledge.
- Assist Beverage Manager in research and development of new offerings.
Experience and Qualifications:
- 4+ years experience as a bartender in a luxury bar, hotel, or restaurant.
- 1+ year experience as a head bartender or bar manager in a luxury bar, hotel, or restaurant.
- Experience using Aloha or similar POS system.
- Craft cocktail + spirits knowledge a must.
- Advanced wine knowledge a plus.
- Excellent guest service skills.
- Strong leadership skills, communication, interpersonal skills, team curator.
- Willingness to learn and grow.
Compensation: Hourly ($17.00)
