St Julien Hotel & Spa is looking for a hard-working and outgoing Busser for Jill's Restaurant who will be responsible for providing the initial setup of table service, clearing guest tables, and offering general assistance to guests and other service staff as needed.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Understand the importance of, and adhere to, the Hotel’s luxury service standards.
  • Perform all opening and closing duties; inspect service stations and guest tables to ensure they have been set to standard specifications.
  • Greet every guest and associate with eye contact and a sincere, friendly smile; use guest names at every opportunity.
  • Serve drinks and replace or refill as necessary.
  • Clear dirty dishes from guest tables upon their departure and promptly reset for incoming guests.
  • Stock and maintain all service stations; perform side work whenever possible to ensure proper items remain available during service.
  • Possess thorough and up-to-date knowledge of all restaurant and menu information in order to accurately answer guest inquiries.
  • Assist servers in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the restaurant.
  • Work proactively and professionally to ensure overall guest satisfaction and elevate any issues/concerns to the attention of the Jill’s Restaurant management team.
  • Other duties as required by manager.

Qualifications:

  • Previous restaurant experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be able to stand for several hours at a time, have excellent verbal communication skills, and able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Ideal candidate is someone friendly and outgoing who can work well both as part of a team and autonomously. Must be able to provide fast and courteous service while maintaining luxury standards.
  • Valid TIPS certification required, or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
  • Open and flexible availability is required. Interested candidates must be able to work days, weekends and holidays.
