**Position Overview: Front of House (FOH) Manager at Hani's Bakery + Cafe**

As the FOH Manager at Hani's Bakery + Cafe, you will lead a team of retail specialists to ensure consistently exceptional customer experiences and foster a positive work environment for all employees. You will collaborate with the executive and management team to guarantee that we provide outstanding service and high-quality food, coffee, and beverage programs, all within a clean and tidy environment. Your role involves educating and supporting the team to create the best possible experience for our guests and fostering a positive work environment for employees. Additionally, you will oversee scheduling, uphold correct HR practices, implement disciplinary procedures as needed, manage inventory and product stocking, adhere to opening and closing procedures, and maintain the overall exceptional appearance of the FOH space.

**Job Expectations:**

  • Cultivate excellent hospitality in a welcoming, positive environment for all guests, both for in-store and digital orders, ensuring that their experiences leave them raving both during and after their visit or order.
  • Exhibit expert knowledge of beverage, food, retail items, and kitchen stations.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and excellence of the store, ensuring that appropriate physical inventory is always available to employees and guests during the service cycle.
  • Continuously support all Hani's staff and actively participate in the service cycle, holding employees accountable to established standards and practices when necessary.
  • Stay current and compliant with HR practices and policies, evaluating and, if needed, implementing disciplinary procedures.
  • Ensure that the assigned payroll process is completed accurately and on time, following business and accounting procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Health regulations as they pertain to all operations.
  • Provide feedback and guidance with excellence and hospitality in mind.
  • Communicate effectively, respectfully, and professionally with all teams throughout the day and during service.
  • Maintain an orderly and neat work area, demonstrating calm professionalism to promote food quality and minimize waste. Follow all FOH recipes, proper portioning, storage guidelines, and FIFO (First In, First Out) principles to reduce waste.
  • Consistently seek internal and external opportunities for team growth.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and other duties as assigned to support team objectives and operational success.
  • Ability to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environment
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude, as well as a desire to learn, grow, and develop new skills
**Qualifications:**
  • 2+ years of experience in a Manager position, ideally in a high-end bakery or a restaurant environment.
  • Bachelors Degree or Certification in a hospitality-related field or equivalent experience (preferred, not required).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, always leading with positivity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Food Protection Certificate holder.
  • Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency preferred.
  • Ability to walk or stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Availability to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
  • Expected to work approximately 50 hours a week.
  • An ability to support all administrative tasks relating to the front of the house, including but not limited to financial reports, scheduling, facilities maintenance, and relevant DOH checks.
  • Continued self-education and expansion of beverage and service knowledge, with a proven track record of converting the knowledge into full team training for team member education and development.

**What We Offer:**

  • Annual compensation of $70,000 - $75,000. *

*The above represents the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, your pay will be determined based on your experience and other job-related factors.
