Were a tiny, high-energy, queer-friendly coffee shack nestled in the heart of Mission Hills. If youve ever walked up to our window and heard music bumping, staff laughing, and regulars chatting like old friendsthats the vibe we live by. Were not your typical cafe, and we dont pretend to be.
What were looking for:
Were on the hunt for someone with good energy, solid work ethic, and the ability to vibe with chaos in the best way. You should enjoy people, like moving fast, and be able to handle pressure with a sense of humor.
Were currently hiring for:
Mid Shifts (10:15 AM 2:00 PM)
Closing Shifts (1:45 PM 5:30 PM)
Weekends are essentialthats when things get wild (in a fun way)
Experience in customer service or the food industry is highly recommended and appreciated, but not required. Were willing to train the right person if your attitude and energy fit.
Heres what a day at the Shack looks like:
Making espresso drinks with focus and flow
Taking orders and talking to everyone from dog-walking neighbors to lifelong regulars
Staying on top of restocking, cleaning, and keeping the space running smoothly
Working side-by-side with a small crew who has each others backs
Holding your own during busy rushes while keeping the energy light and connected
Were not a corporate cafe. Were a shack with character, flavor, and a strong community. People come to us not just for coffee, but for connection. We care about each other, about the space, and about making people feel welcome exactly as they are.
What we need from you:
Be reliable, quick, and present
Be flexible with your schedule (well do our best to work with you!)
Be someone who works hard but doesnt take themselves too seriously
Be cool with all types of peoplewe are proudly inclusive and community-first
