Chief Maintenance Engineer**
**Job Description**
As a Chief Maintenance Engineer, you will lead the daily operations of the engineering department, ensuring the highest quality of work and customer service. You will be responsible for managing the engineering program in alignment with client expectations and company values, while planning, implementing, and supervising all mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, and manpower development programs.
**Responsibilities**
+ Provide effective daily leadership to engineering staff.
+ Manage the engineering program to ensure quality work and customer service.
+ Align engineering department administration with management team and client expectations.
+ Uphold ethical standards and core values as defined by company policies.
+ Plan, implement, coordinate, and supervise mechanical operations and maintenance programs.
+ Perform limited hands-on operational duties and Watch Activity.
+ Supervise engineers and maintenance staff including hiring, training, and personnel development.
+ Ensure performance management and coaching of team members through HR processes.
+ Participate in and coordinate annual scheduling and execution of the Safety Program.
+ Manage operational accounts for buildings and assist in budget development.
+ Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment.
+ Coordinate maintenance efforts with outside contractors and engineers.
+ Oversee all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical issues.
+ Develop specifications and assist in solicitation and administration of maintenance contracts.
+ Respond quickly to emergency situations and customer concerns.
+ Implement inventory control programs and purchase parts and supplies.
+ Ensure compliance with applicable codes and company directives.
**Essential Skills**
+ 7+ years of facilities maintenance experience in a commercial setting.
+ 3+ years of leadership experience.
+ Strong computer skills.
+ Experience with boiler maintenance.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of electrical systems, boiler systems, troubleshooting, and repair.
+ Experience in maintenance repair and management skills.
+ Experience with HVAC and boiler systems.
