1st Shift Janitor/Floor Cleaner

Production Floor Cleane r: 1st shift/ Danfoss
The floor cleaner is responsible for the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of all floor surfaces on the production floor. This role ensures a clean working environment by removing debris, dust, oils, and other materials that could pose safety or quality risks. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and take pride in maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine floor cleaning duties across the production area, including sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and vacuuming
• Operate industrial floor cleaning equipment such as auto scrubbers, walk-behind sweepers, and floor buffers
• Monitor and promptly clean up sills, oil drips, or material accumulation to maintain a hazard-free work area
• Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules in coordination with production and EHS teams
• Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals and supplies in accordance with safety protocols
• Perform basic preventive maintenance checks on cleaning equipment and report malfunctions
• Adhere strictly to all Danfoss safety procedures, including use of PPE and lockout/tagout where applicable
• Collaborate with the other maintenance or production personnel as needed to support plant cleanliness and readiness

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing cleaning is a plus
• Ability to operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment safely and effectively
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks while standing or walking for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Dependable and punctual and strong work ethic
• Commitment to safety and quality standards

• Work is performed exclusively on the production floor in an active manufacturing environment
• Exposure to machinery, forklifts, hydraulic fluids, and varying temperatures
