Kitchen Helper PRN

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Kitchen Helper at Tampa residential youth academy in Tampa Florida.

Tampa Residential Facility is comprised of multiple co-located residential commitment programs serving moderate risk male youth aged 14 to 18 who require substance abuse, major disorder, and intensive medical services. The programs utilize evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while at the program.

Pay: $19 an hour

What you will do: As a Kitchen Helper, you will be responsible for maintaining the entire dining and preparation facility in a constant state of sanitary acceptance. This includes but is not limited to the kitchen, dining room, all storage areas, outside areas, refuse areas, garbage cans and all loading docks. Ensure that all areas are maintained in a sanitary condition that meets or exceeds the requirements set forth by Federal, State, and local regulations. Responsible for cleaning and maintaining small wares and food preparation equipment. Ensure exceptional customer service is provided to all students, staff and guests.

To be considered you should: Have a high school diploma or equivalent ~ Have a food handlers license~ Be at least 21 years of age ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.
