Legal Assistant/Receptionist

Caruso Law Offices, an Albuquerque personal injury and wrongful death law firm, is expanding and looking to immediately hire a full time legal assistant/receptionist. This law firm has been established in Albuquerque for 35 years and is 4.7 star Google rated by its clients.

Paralegal position is forty hours per week, Mon to Fri, 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Law firm is located near Montgomery and Carlisle in Albuquerque.

Understanding of legal terminology and previous experience in a law firm or legal department is a plus. Spanish speaking is a plus. Good work atmosphere, beautiful office, easy parking.

Responsibilities:

Answer, screen, and forward incoming calls
Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries
Schedule appointments, court dates, and meetings
Maintain the appearance and organization of the reception area
Handle queries from clients and visitors
Perform administrative tasks, including filing and photocopying
Assist with preparation of legal documents
Manage and maintain case files and medical records
Order medical records

Qualifications:

Proven work experience as a receptionist, front office representative, or similar role
Strong typing and organizational skills
Familiarity with office machines (e.g. fax, printer, etc)
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
