The Lead Dishwasheris responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient dish station while overseeing the overall cleanliness of the kitchen. In addition to dishwashing duties, this role helps create and uphold a kitchen-wide cleanliness and sanitation programincluding daily, weekly, and deep-cleaning routines. The Lead Dishwasher supports a smooth flow of service and plays a critical role in upholding food safety standards.
This is not an entry-level position.Were looking for someone with previous back-of-house experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to lead by example.
Job Duties:
+ Washes, dries & stocks all wares including pots, pans, flatware, and glasses.
+ Correctly places and stores clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas.
+ Stocks serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other assigned areas with necessary dishes and utensils.
+ Waste, compost & recycling management
+ Cleans trash receptacles with water or steam.
+ General and deep cleaning including all opening and closing sidewalk, daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
+ Moves dishwashing supplies and equipment from storage to work areas.
+ May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed.
+ Ensures work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all company, local, and state guidelines regarding health safety and sanitation.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.
What we expect from you:
+ Availability 1-4 nights a week starting between 2pm - 4pm until closing around 10pm-11pm.
+ 2 + years of previous experience in a high-volume setting preferred
+ positive attitude
+ a keen eye for detail - we need to make sure the dishes & the work space are squeaky clean!
+ have strong prioritization & time management skills
+ be an active listener & problem solver, communicate effectively with all teammates
+ be a professional: remain composed & communicate clearly with your teammates
+ we are in an open kitchen environment and on stage at all times
+ full-time or part-time availability & willingness to be flexible with our team as needed
Physical Requirements:
+ Prolonged periods of walking or standing
+ Must be able to lift, carry and place up to 60 pounds at a time.
+ Must be able to work nights
+ Must be able to bend, stoop, and wipe frequently
+ Must frequently immerse hands in water
+ Must be able to work in a warm & damp environment
