Elizabethtown College's Dining Services Department is currently seeking a full time Cook.
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure quality service and food production for all guests
This position is full-time, 12 months per year. Hours will be 11:30am-8:00pm (subject to change based on business needs).

Job Duties
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items
- Set up and operate action stations
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Utilize knives, cooking utensils, and all kitchen equipment effectively
- Maintain sanitation, production, and equipment records as required
- Monitor food temperatures and appearance
- Maintain optimum station coverage at all times - cover for co-workers' breaks
- Set up and break down cooking stations
- Adapt to special dietary needs and allergen requests
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food inventory
- Support catered campus events
- Contribute to team efforts
- Respond flexibly to operational needs
- Train student personnel
- Other duties as assigned
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist other areas within dining services
- Assist with cleaning and sanitation duties
- Conduct all responsibilities in a safe manner according to regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED is required.
Associate's degree from an accredited culinary institute is preferred; plus two years of food service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
