Position Summary Information

Objective

Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe, and sanitary facility.

This is a 9 month position, mid August - Mid May with the option to work in the summer, as needed. This is a 9 month, benefits eligible position. Principal Accountabilities

Principal Accountabilities

1. Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machine.

2. Sort and stack clean dishes. Carries clean dishes to serving line and other proper storage areas. Rewashes stored dishes before delivering.

3. Removes trash and garbage to dumpster. Maintains trash cans throughout the shift.

4. Set up or break down and clean dishwashing area. Keeps area organized and free of clutter.

5. Sweep/mop floors

6. Assemble/disassemble dish machine.

7. Sweep and clean loading dock.

8. Must notify Manager anytime dish machine is not working properly.

9. Check in and put up freight.

10. Work in and assist other areas within food service when needed.

11. Performs other related duties as assigned.
