The Maintenance Worker II Streets is responsible for operating, inspecting, monitoring, repairing, replacing, and maintaining city-owned street infrastructure, storm sewer systems, vehicles, equipment, grounds and buildings.The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. With appropriate safety equipment, the employee may perform duties involving fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud in field settings, and moderately quiet in office settings.
The employee must frequently (up to 70% of the time) lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally (less than 15% of the time) lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

- Perform snow removal and ice control.
- Perform maintenance on all city streets and pathways, including patching, crack sealing, milling, grinding, and hauling of materials.
- Perform street sweeping.
- Trim and maintain all city-owned boulevard trees and responds to tree-related storm damage.
- Manufacture, maintain, and install city-owned signs.
- Place and maintain temporary traffic control.
- Maintain and replace all city-owned storm structures, pipes, including inlets, outlets, catch basins, manholes, sumps, and ponds.
- Work in conjunction with contractors to reconstruct and replace pathways and parking lots.
- Provide right-of-way maintenance, including turf restoration, mowing, streetscape, irrigation, mailbox repair, and refuse removal.
- Respond to emergencies outside of work hours when on call within 30 minutes or less.
- Continually show respect for diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and interests. Exhibit sensitivity to the needs of diverse audiences in all duties performed on behalf of the City to support Roseville in building and sustaining an inclusive and equitable working environment and community.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 6 months of related experience.
- Valid Class D Minnesota Drivers license and obtain Class B CDL with air brake and tanker endorsement within 6 months of hire.
