Overview

The Guest Services Agent assists all guests efficiently, courteously, and professionally in all front desk related functions. Maintains high standards of service and hospitality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Interacts with all guests. The front desk agent will welcome our guest to the hotel and proceed with checking in on the guest in a professional manner.
  • Utilizes a thorough working knowledge of the reservation system and procedures; takes reservations and knows cancellation procedures and policies.
  • You will promote and sell special hotel programs.
  • They will ensure they collect the guests’ information required for their stay along with explaining hotel policies and procedures in a professional manner.
  • You will follow set procedures on posting, charges, cash checks, safe deposits, and refunds.
  • Resolve guest challenges and take appropriate action to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Process customer payments according to established procedures and policies including proper cash handling and credit card authorizations.
  • Efficient communication with other departments of the hotel to support special requests, late checkouts, maintenance needs and guest concerns.
  • Assist with pre-registration and blocking of reservations. Prepares for group arrivals and departures.
  • Provides the highest quality of service to guests at all times.
  • You will be constantly interacting with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
  • Engage with our guests upon check out (leaving) to ensure that that are satisfied with their service and assist in recovery efforts when needed.
  • When there is down time, you will assist the reservations department with taking guest reservations in a professional manner. This will also occur when the reservations department closes for the day.
  • "Be the Difference" with all guest and employees and do more than just “the norm".
  • Perform all other duties as deemed necessary by management.


Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills are required.
  • Must be able to stand for the duration of a shift, with or without accommodation.
  • Prior Hospitality or Customer Service Experience preferred.
  • Prior experience with Maestro is a plus
  • Must be passionate about creating a memorable experience for each guest.


Compensation Range

The compensation for this position is $15.00/Yr. - $16.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
