Overview

Responsible for preparing and cooking food at all stations in the kitchen. Responsible for reading and following recipes, and maintaining food and quality standards

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for preparing and cooking food for Employee Dining Room.
  • Must adhere to policies, procedures and Health Regulations using proper food handling techniques.
  • Responsible for reading and following recipes while meeting quality standards.
  • Must work rapidly in an efficient manner.
  • Superior organizational skills required.
  • Assist in maintaining a neat, clean and safe working environment.
  • Turnover/takeover station according to established procedures.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as requested.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age requirement is 18

  • 1 year experience in a high-volume kitchen

  • Able to obtain and maintain a Food handler’s card (HLTH card) and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy

  • Possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities

  • Available to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
