Swedish Girl Bakery is a growing start-up focused on offering a new concept in allergy friendly eating. We focus on sweet and savory quick service food options along with custom items, working with large corporate clients, special events/weddings.

We are experiencing rapid growth and looking for a highly skilled, passionate, creative Baker to join our team.

This role ensures the continued production and development of exceptional allergy friendly products and the ideal candidate is interested in growing the business and establishing SGB as an innovative industry leader.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare a diverse range of gluten free, nut free baked goods, including breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and specialty items, following established recipes and ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and appearance.
  • Accurately measure, weigh and mix ingredients, adjust recipes as needed to achieve desired results, and monitor the baking process to maintain optimal quality.
  • Operate and maintain commercial-grade baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, and proofers, adhering to safety protocols and reporting any malfunctions.
  • Decorate and finish baked products with glazes, icings, and toppings to enhance presentation and appeal to customers.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients and finished goods, troubleshooting and resolving any issues in the baking process.
  • Lead and mentor Junior Bakers as needed, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages skill development and creativity.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation, maintaining a clean and organized work area at all times.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and new baking techniques, willingness to experiment, contribute to the development of new recipes and innovative product offerings.
Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($22.00 - $28.00)

Benefits & Perks: Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Paid Time Off, Potential Bonuses, We do not schedule our team to work on Holidays.
